Romans 10 : 10 says that
'with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.'
From time to time in our Christian walk we may become discouraged.
To guard against this, God has given us the privilege of profession of faith.
The word confession in the above verse could also be rendered PROFESSION, which means to SPEAK ALOUD, WHAT THE WORD OF GOD SAYS MY SALVATION DOES FOR ME.
Our salvation keeps on being real in our lives as long as we keep PROFESSING THE WORD ONLY.
Sometimes situations face us in which God's salvation will work for us if we will keep talking ONLY God's Word and nothing else.
Our problem is that often our old thought patterns contradict the Word of God and when these old things come out of our mouth, we negate the profession we prayed.
The answer is to keep PROFESSING ONLY THE WORD OF GOD.
This is not an easy habit to acquire, so we should practice it daily in our praying, so that the salvation of God is constantly at work in our lives.
